Red Inman Square Walking Tour with Tim Devin - May 20th
Come join Practice Space & Tim Devin (author of "Mapping out utopia: 1970s Boston-area counterculture") for an hour-long walking tour of 1970s Inman Square's collectives, coops, and companies concerned with things other than the bottom line.
In the 60s and 70s, the Boston area was one of the focal points of the counterculture, and Cambridge was its hub. Inman Square itself was home to over a dozen mission-based orgs and businesses-- from alternative schools like the all-volunteer Trout Fishing in America, to coops like the Bicycle Repair Collective, to feminist collectives like New Words Bookstore.
Come take a countercultural trip through history with us. We'll leave at 11am from Practice Space, and return around noon-- just in time for Inman Eats.
